Chia seeds are one of the strangest ingredients in my vast pantry. If you haven't used them before, they can be added to any form of liquid to create a gelatinous texture, spawning the chia egg, chia jam, chia pudding, the list goes on. Today we've used them for jam! Traditional jam is jam packed with sugar and will not work without that terrible but oh so lovely ingredient. However, our chia jam only has 1 tbsp. agave! You can even omit it completely and it'll taste beautiful, but Dillon has a stupidly sweet tooth. Dillon is a two sugars plus syrup in my coffee kinda guy. If you're stuck for ideas with what to do with your chia jam, fear not! We have given some examples in our video. We used it on our raisin irish soda bread as well as a berry parfait using our simple granola! Don't tickle your fancy? Spoon over pancakes, swirl into porridge, or just scoop out the jar (it's healthy so don't feel guilty!)   This jam is a great healthy substitute for the store bought stuff, and actually very cheap! Chia seeds are very cheap, a great investment and go a looong way since you usually only use a tablespoon at a time.
